Partner agreement

Last updated July 23, 2026

These terms govern the AllergyTable Approved program for restaurants and packaged-food brands (“you”). By submitting an application or displaying the badge, you agree to them. This is in addition to our general Terms and Privacy Policy.

1. What “Approved” means — and does not

AllergyTable Approved recognizes that a business meets a published standard for allergen transparency and handling — clear allergen communication, cross-contamination knowledge, and honest data. It is not a certification, warranty, or guarantee that any dish or product is “safe” or free from any allergen for any individual. The full standard is at /partners/criteria. You agree not to describe the badge as a safety guarantee, a medical endorsement, or a claim that a dish or product is allergen-free.

2. Your information and its accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you submit — menus, ingredient and allergen data, cross-contact handling, certifications, and everything else. You represent that it is true to the best of your knowledge when submitted. AllergyTable presents this information to diners with your business as the source; we do not independently test your food or inspect your kitchen.

Menus, recipes, suppliers, and kitchens change. You agree to keep your information current and to notify us promptly at partners@allergytable.com when something material changes (a new shared line, a dropped supplier, an allergen added to a dish).

3. Badge usage

While your approval is active, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to display the AllergyTable Approved badge on your premises, menu, packaging, and website to indicate your participation. You may not alter the badge, use it for any product or location that was not approved, or use it in a way that implies a safety guarantee or that AllergyTable endorses claims beyond the data you provided. The badge and the AllergyTable name remain our property.

4. Suspension and removal

Approval is a snapshot, not a permanent seal. We may pause or revoke your badge and listing — and you must stop displaying the badge — if your information becomes stale or inaccurate, if diners repeatedly report a mismatch, if you misuse the badge, or if you no longer meet the standard. You may withdraw from the program at any time by emailing us, after which you must stop displaying the badge.

5. Responsibility and indemnification

You remain fully responsible for the food you serve or sell, for accurate allergen information, and for compliance with all applicable food-safety and labeling laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless AllergyTable and its operators from any claims, damages, or costs arising out of your food, your premises, the information you provided, or your use of the badge. AllergyTable’s role is to present the information you supply; it is a research aid, not a food-safety authority.

6. Fees

Applying for the badge and a claimed listing is free. Optional paid add-ons (for example, featured placement or a done-for-you allergy-friendly menu) are offered separately, and any fees, scope, and cancellation terms for those will be stated at the time you purchase them. Nothing here obligates you to buy anything.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated to approved partners. Questions: partners@allergytable.com.

AllergyTable is a research assistant, not medical advice. Menus change and kitchens vary. Always confirm directly with restaurant staff before eating.
